                1. How do you define federal system ?
                Ans. The federal system of government is a political system of government in which a country is divided into different autonomous states and provinces.


                2. When was Nepal declared a Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal ?
                Ans. Nepal was declared a Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on 28 May 2008 A.D. ( Jestha 15, 2065).
                3.What is a development region ?
                Ans>A development region is an administrative division of a place which is declared to create equal, balanced and proportionate development throughout all the parts of the country.
                4.Why is Nepal divided into 5 development regions? Give reasons.
                Ans. Nepal is divided into five development regions too make harmonious and balanced development of the country.
                5. What is Federalism ?
                Ans. Federalism is system of government in which power to legistate and to raise the taxes is constitutionally shared between the central and regional government.
                6.What is unitary form of government ?
                Ans.Unitary form of government is a system of government where powers are                 concentrated in one authority and there is no division of power.

                Ans.The two characteristics of federal government are:
1.       To carry out developmental activities inside the federal states.
2.       To take quicker and effective decisions and maintain law and order.

                Ans.Parliament (sansad) is a national body of elected or nominated representatives.

                Ans.There are 330 members in the interim legislature parliament.

                Ans.The highest court in our country is the Supreme court which is situated in the capital city Kathmandu beside the Singha Durbar.

                Ans.Judiciary is called the guardian of the constitution because it protects, preserves and promotes the constitution through interpretations, remedies           and punishment.
                16.What do you understand by judiciary ?
                Ans.Judiciary is that organ of government that applies the laws made by the legislature and enforced by the executive. It maintains the law and order in the country and punishes the wrong doers.
                17.Which is the lowest tier of court in Nepal?
                Ans.The lowest tier of court in Nepal is the district court.
                18.How is the chief judge of the supreme court appointed?
                Ans.The chief judge of the  supreme court is appointed by the prime minister on the recommendation of the constitutional council for the term of 6 years.

                Ans.Auditor General  is responsible for checking the accounts of all government offices.
                20.What are the functions of the office of the Auditor General ?
                Ans.The functions of the office  office of the Auditor General  are to audit all the government accounts, to object about the documents relating to accounts and to submit an annual report on the work done by him.
                21.What is the function of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority ?
                Ans.The commission has been constituted in order to prevent the abuse of authority. The commission conducts inquiries and investigations of improper                conduct or corruption by a person holding any public office except Nepal    Army. When the commission finds upon inquiry that a person holding any public office has committed an act which is defined by law as corrupt, it may      take action against such person in a court with jurisdiction according by law/

                Ans.I register my complaints against any corrupted government personnel in Commission For the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
                23.Where do you complain if your fundamental rights are violated?
                Ans.If my fundamental rights are violated, I will complain in the Supreme Court.
                24.What is a political party ?
                Ans.A political party is an association of people with the same political aims and programme of an action.
                25.What are political party’s main objectives?
                Ans.The main objectives of political party are to win in the election, from the government and lead the country according to the principles and practices of their party.
                26.What is an election manifesto ?
                Ans.A manifesto is the election booklet of political parties in which the political parties state what they do if they win the election and what are  basic principles and policies in which one’s party is based.
                27.When can we measure the strength and unity of a political parties?
                Ans.The unity and strength of a particular political party can be measured during the election or rally or demonstration.

                Ans.It is list of all those people who are eligible to vote.

                Ans.A general election is the election which is held to select the                representatives                especially for the House of Representatives.

                Ans.Election Commission, election offices, polling officer, electoral roll, ballot     paper box, polling station and sub-polling station and candidates are important factors for the election.

                Ans.The age bar to cast the vote in the election in Nepal is 18.

                Ans.Voter identity card is needed during an election in order to check proxy vote.

                Ans.The United nations’ observers visit the place where the general election is going on to check and report the irregularities.
                33.Write the three ways to avoid the problem of faulty working on ballot paper?
                Ans.To provide training to put the seal correctly , to educate people to tick against the candidates name and to manage good furniture to keep ballot    paper and put seal on it are the three ways to avoid the problem of faulty marketing or invalidation.
                34.What do you mean by claim?
                Ans.An application given to amend such mistakes of  electoral roll as name, age,               father’s name , etc is known as claim.
                35.What is human rights ?
                Ans.Human rights refer to the rights that we are entitled to get as a human being and in other works rights to develop own’s personality is called human rights.
                36.When was Universal Declaration of Human Rights issued ?
                Ans.Universal Declaration of Human Rights was issued on 10 December , 1948.
                37.Who first brought  the idea of human rights?
                Ans.The idea of human rights was first introduced by E;eaner Roosevelt, the wife of former president of the USA.

                Ans.National integrity refers to the wholeness of the country and unity of all the people of all regions.

                Ans.Border security refers to the control of criminal activities at the border for national security. It also refers to the control of encroachment of land at the border.
